Field of operation:

The LX driver indicator signal P145 LED is a stationary light signal for railway operation in the area of Railway Construction and Operation Regulations (EBO), Railway Signal Regulations (ESO) and non-federal railways (NE railways). The signal unit P145 LED WH is used as a monitoring signal BÜ0/BÜ1 (ÜS) or monitoring signal repeater (ÜSW) and informs the locomotive or train driver (Tf) of a secured or unsecured level crossing by means of a white signal light. The P145 LED G (YE) indicator signal is an active marker light (permanently switched on yellow signal light), marking the location of the signal for train speeds above 120 km/h, otherwise retroreflective foils are attached to the spots on the signal screen.

Function:

In the centre of the optical system there is a central LED (white or yellow LED, depending on the version) mounted on a heat sink. A Fresnel lens is mounted at an appropriate distance in the direction of light propagation (see illustration below) and behind it a diffusing lens and the cover glass.
